Since 2011, more than 70 large and medium-sized and above gold deposits have been newly discovered in the Jiaodong area, of which large-extra-large gold deposits are all distributed in the "Shandong Laizhou-Zhaoyuan Gold Mine Integral Exploration Area".
Among them, the extra-large gold deposits with reserves exceeding 100 tons include the gold mine in the northern sea area of Sanshan Island, Laizhou City (reserves of 470.47 tons), Laizhou Xiling Gold Mine (reserves of 382.58 tons), Laizhou Shaling Gold Mine (reserves of 309.93 tons), Laizhou Tengjia Gold Mine (reserves of 206 tons), Zhaoyuan City Shuiwangzhuang Gold Mine (reserves of 170.543 tons), Laizhou City Xinli Village Gold Mine (reserves of 141.81 tons).
There are nearly 10 gold deposits with reserves greater than 50 tons and less than 100 tons. Among them, the Taishang mining area in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province added 59.4 tons of gold, Linglong Gold Mine added 50 tons of gold, and Sanshandao Gold Mine added 60 tons of gold.
